Playtonic Games, the British company that ran the successful Yooka-Laylee campaign, has partnered with Bryt, another successful British Kickstarter-funded company, to create Yooka-Laylee socks.
The socks shown in the announcement email feature the titular characters with Yooka’s body occupying the entire sock and with Laylee’s head sewn onto the cuff and leg.

Yooka-Laylee was a project proposed by Playtonic Games on Kickstarter that had a goal of £175,000 (roughly $275,000 at the time) but emerged with £2,090,104 ($3,290,000) in pledges. Yooka-Laylee promises to be a true successor of the great platform adventure games in the past like Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country 64. The team at Playtonic mainly composes of game designer and creator veterans from Rare that actually worked on those games in the past. Yooka is a chameleon-like character while Laylee is a bat.
This news comes on the eve of the expected release of the Toy-Box, which is an impressive demo that will show off most of the features in the game. It will be delivered in the middle of July to the backers that pledged a certain amount.
Yooka-Laylee’s release was postponed to early 2017 and was accompanied by an apology letter from Playtonic explaining that “[while] we felt confident we could ship the game in October as originally projected in our Kickstarter, the Playtonic team has decided that it would prefer to add a few extra months’ polish to the game schedule.” http://www.playtonicgames.com/yooka-laylee-trailer-release-update/
