daredevil-14-featuredIf you haven’t been reading the newest Daredevil run by Charles Soule and Ron Garney you are really missing out! They have done some really fantastic work, one thing that they have done is introduce us to the character of Muse.  I
have not liked a new villain character more since Gorr the God Butcher from Jason Arron’s Thor: God of Thunder series. So Muse is a self proclaimed “Dark Artist”, and he uses people as the material for his works. The look of this guy is pretty amazing, but my favorite part is his alias of Vincent van Gore!
So Daredevil #14 is wrapping up this latest arc of Daredevil and it has not disappointed. We get to see some really good Blindspot action, as well as Daredevil and his new Inhuman cop buddy playing detective. For those who may be unfamiliar with Blindspot, he is a young Chinese kid named Samuel Chung that Daredevil has taken to mentoring in fighting crime. He has built a suit that makes him invisible to the naked eye and he uses that to take down criminals. In the last issue Blindspot followed Muse into the sewers to rescue a judge, laywer, and two cops. He had to really overcome his fear of the situation and just go for it, which he did. He freed them and then to allow them to escape let Muse find out where he 10was and was then captured.

Daredevil has tracked Muse to the location where Muse has Blindspot and confronts him. As Daredevil is talking
Muse into a fight Muse decides that he just made up his mind about what his newest piece needed. I’m not going to go
into what he did because I do not want to ruin the surprise. But when I read it I had to put it down for a second due to the shock of what just happened. Another thing you get to see is the face behind the mask of Muse, and it is even more frightening than the mask that he wears.

I cannot wait to see where this story goes next. I am very excited to see how this series is going to interplay with the Kingpin, Bullseye, and Elektra series that are set to start in February. You can find this issue at your local comic shop, and if you happen to be located in the Northern Utah area The Nerd Store in the Valley Fair Mall will have this! You may even see yours truly there yelling about Daredevil! (it’s kind of my thing!)
